Rueter-Hess Reservoir Volume Chart

The current volume of the Rueter-Hess Reservoir is 23,837 acre-feet, which is up 317 acre-feet from December 14th. An acre-foot is a unit of volume that measures the volume of one acre of surface area at a depth of one foot and is equivalent to 325,851 gallons.

In the current volume (actual vs. max) guage, you will see the reservoir is at approximately 32% capacity. The other chart shows the volume historically dating back to 2012 and a projected trend line.

We also show the reservoir's current depth at 100.71 feet, up 6.96 inches from December 14th's report.

Water Production December Chart

This chart compares our current water production to the two previous months and the same period in the past year. Our water sources are a mix of Rueter-Hess Reservoir, groundwater (wells), and the Water, Infrastructure, and Supply Efficiency (WISE) Partnership.

For December 2023, approximately 155 million gallons were produced, with 51% from the Rueter-Hess Reservoir, 41% from groundwater, and 8% from WISE. This is compared to December of 2022, which saw 128 million gallons produced, with 0% from the reservoir, 71% groundwater, and 29% WISE.

For November 2023, approximately 134 million gallons were produced, with 0% from the Rueter-Hess Reservoir, 92% from groundwater, and 8% from WISE. This is compared to November of 2022, which saw 116 million gallons produced, with 0% from the reservoir, 81% groundwater, and 19% WISE.

For October 2023, approximately 274 million gallons were produced, with 28% from the Rueter-Hess Reservoir, 67% from groundwater, and 5% from WISE. This is compared to October of 2022, which saw 239 million gallons produced, with 11% from the reservoir, 82% groundwater, and 7% WISE.

Wastewater December Chart

This chart shows the average daily wastewater flows (influent) into both our South Wastewater Reclamation Facility (SWRF) and our North Wastewater Reclamation Facility (NWRF). The chart compares the wastewater flows to the two previous months and the same period in the past year.

For December 2023, 3.92 million gallons per day were treated, with 57% at the NWRF and 43% at the SWRF. This is compared to December of 2022, which saw 3.36 million gallons per day treated, with 63% at the NWRF and 37% at the SWRF.

For November 2023, 4.02 million gallons per day were treated, with 57% at the NWRF and 43% at the SWRF. This is compared to November of 2022, which saw 3.05 million gallons per day treated, with 65% at the NWRF and 35% at the SWRF.

For October 2023, 3.80 million gallons per day were treated, with 59% at the NWRF and 41% at the SWRF. This is compared to October of 2022, which saw 3.06 million gallons per day treated, with 64% at the NWRF and 36% at the SWRF.
